This Samsung Bluray player does a lot of things. I mean you have Netflix, Blockbuster, Pandora and YouTube. It plays DVD’s CD’s and you can even connect wirelessly to your PC and play your music files. One thing is missing….. It does not play Bluray. I’m talking straight out of the box. I’ll be returning promptly.

This is my first blu ray player so I am not sure what I should expect, but I am impressed. The integration with other samsung products is simple and reduces the use of another remote. It spins up relatively quickly and the picture is amazing. Also, this comes with a wireless USB adapter and gives you access to youtube, netflix, pandora. I found this easy to use and a great add to my home theater.
Only item I would caution you on is the tray comes out of the side. If you are putting this in a rack mounted entertainment center it could be a problem. it does provide for wall mounting as well. I would display it one way or the other, it is a sight to see!

I received this unit as a gift for Christmas. I researched it before and knew it was a perfect match for my Samsung entertainment system. The BD Live works wonder as soon as I hook it up via HDMI. Wireless network hookup was a snap and I’m able update all firmwares to stream Netflix, YouTube, Blockbuster, and Pandora. So far, everything works great and the quality is amazing.

this thing rocks. it’s great looking. it upscales reg dvd’s, so they look much better. i haven’t hooked up the wifi yet,so no comment. the price i paid, $215, was not much more than costco’s sony model ($179 plus tax), which was not netflix, pandora, etc, equiped, nor did it do wi-fi. this also came with the lan on the player.
negatives: like others have said: due to the sleek design, it’s a little annoying hooking up the wires. ALSO, this is a side loading device. this means it really doesn’t fit into a normal equipment cabinet. so, you can mount it on the wall, or put it on top of something. the bummer on having it up on something: the thing always looks dusty.
anyway, i love it.

As a recent enlistee with Netflix, I was looking forward to setting up a “Netflix ready” machine in order to take advantage of the instant viewing option. The BD-P4600 was advertised as having the wireless network feature I was looking for (computer too far away in house for a wired connection). So I hooked it up according to directions and everything appeared to be working swell until I tried to set up the wireless networking option. The option was “grayed out” and not selectable. I spoke with Samsung’s techs a couple of times trying their suggestions but without any luck. I tried to return the unit and ask for a replacement, but the only option was a refund due to it being “out of stock”. I will now wait up to 4 weeks for a refund. In the meantime, I think I’ll go to Fry’s for a comparable unit and if there is a problem again, at least I’ll be able to talk with someone at the store and if need be, return/replace on a more immediate basis.
