We did our homework. . .read reviews. . .checked on line and in stores. We are glad we did not go wireless and even though it took some work to hide all the wires it works great.
The sound is amazing. I love the IPod player and we use the blue-ray often. We got the system for a great price and got a great product!

This system worked perfectly for me. I’m totally an amateur, but this was fairly easy to set up. It took me about an hour, but I didn’t have any problems. I just went slowly because I wasn’t familiar with the task. Speaker wire length is very good. I was able to place speakers everywhere I needed and wanted them to go. If you are the average family looking for good sound incoporated into a Blue Ray player then this is a great system. Since I’m not an expert at “mix and remix”, I’m sure there are better systems, but for the average person, this is suitable for the purpose. Read the product information and make sure you have all the cables you need. This does not include some of the cables necessary to install, but neither do the other systems I looked at.

Tis a good system for TV/dvd added sound…Not enough power to blast the tunes. dvd/blueray plays and sounds good. Way to much BS on the remote..Sony is not the awesome system they use to be….Spend a little more and by a Stereo forget the home theater bs…Speakers suck/no hardware ..In short I should have went with a stereo with 1000 watts per chanel not this 250 per speaker BS and hooked my tv into it…FOR LISTENING TO TUNES THIS SYSTEM SUCKS>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I purchased the BDVE300 through Amazon about 2 months ago after considering several other models and types of blu-ray players. What ultimately sold me on this model was the price, set up ease, functionality (i-pod/ internet hook-ups), and compatability w/ Sony Bravia TV.
I would agree with most of the other reviews that it is a good system for what it’s supposed to do. If you’re looking for an entry level blu-ray w/ surround sound capability I would certainly recommend this product.
I found the speaker length to be adequate and haven’t experienced any issue’s w/ playing regular DVD’s or Blu-rays that some of the other reviewers have mentioned.
